As a condition of booking with us, you warrant the below:
It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure their group are aware of all conditions and cancellation policies that apply to the bookings.
You will book with the knowledge and understanding of our terms and conditions.
You will only make legitimate bookings for yourself or for other persons whom you are legally authorized to act.
You will not make any fraudulent, false or speculative bookings.
All information supplied by you is true, accurate, current and complete.
You will book in accordance with the information outlined.
You are 16 years old or older if you are a Guest and 18 years old or older if you are a booking agent representative.
You have the legal authority to make a legally binding obligation.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
*All cancellations and refunds for tours must be made to us in writing via email and include your booking confirmation and send through to email@example.com
2.1 Refund Policy for Tours
All 1-hour Daintree River Cruises are subjected to a 24-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within the 24 hours will receive no refund.
Private Charter bookings are subjected to a 48-hour cancellation policy. - Cancellations made within the 48 hours will receive no refund.
Refunds are not applicable to late arrivals or no shows.
Refunds are not applicable to preferred tour time amendments for example if a customer makes a booking but wants to change the time but we are unable to move it to the preferred time and the amendment is done within 24 hours no refund is permitted.
Refunds within the 24-hour period for 1-hour tours and refunds for private charters within the 48-hour period are not applicable if a customer speculates or misjudges on where we operate from.
2.2 Tour Add on’s
We provide add on’s for an extra cost, customers can choose add on’s with their tours such as beer, wine and other products that are listed in the online tour booking process. The cost of add on’s listed are presented next to the add on item. Once a add on has been selected the cost is incorporated into the total cost. Change of mind resulting in not wanting an add on that has already been purchased is not applicable for refund. In the event of change of mind resulting in no longer wanting an add on that has been purchased we are able to issue a credit to be used in store in our souvenir shop.
2.3 Booking Fees
Fees charged by our booking system FareHarbor for processing bookings also known as Booking fees are non-refundable for partial refunds.
2.4 Bad Weather
We operate in all weather conditions including when it is raining, guests are encouraged to check the weather forecast on their day of experience and dress weather appropriate. In case of bad weather where we deem it unsafe to operate, we reserve the right to cancel tours and provide customers with a full refund or credit.
2.5 Unforeseen circumstances
If unforeseen circumstances arise which prevents us from operating, customers will be provided a full refund or credit.
2.6 Souvenir Shop Refund Policy
If you purchase souvenirs or other retail merchandise from our gift shop, we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. However, in the event of a fault with an item, we will either exchange, refund or replace the item in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Consumer Law. Please keep your proof of purchase (eg a receipt).
Aggressive, rude, arrogant or any behaviour we find unpleasant is not tolerated we have the right to refuse service to any patron and we reserve the right to remove individuals or patrons from tours without refund of tour cost.
3. No shows & Late arrivals
If you are not present at the designated tour departure point and departure time as held by Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises at 2856 Mossman Daintree Road, Lower Daintree, 4873 you will be classed as a No Show.
We do not delay departure times or stop vessels from departing for late arrivals. You must notify us if you are late so we can move your booking to the next departure time permitting there is availability.
We will not automatically move bookings to other departure times for no shows or late arrivals it is the responsibility of the customer to contact us which we will then do, permitting there is availability.
4. Booking amendments
1-hour Daintree River Cruises – Tour time amendments for our full priced 1-hour Daintree river cruises are permitted on the day of experience and before but are subjected to availability. There are no additional charges for full price tour time amendments and we do not provide refunds if a customer moves a full priced tour time to a discounted tour time.
Private charters – Tour time amendments for Private Charter bookings on the day of experience are not permitted. Tour time amendments before the date of experience (e.g. a day before or more) are permitted if there is availability.
All booking amendments must be made to us in writing via email and include your booking confirmation and send through to firstname.lastname@example.org
5. Check-In and Boarding
Please check-in 20 minutes prior to your cruise departure time at reception.
Boarding commences 5 minutes prior to cruise departure time.
Guests are not allowed to board any earlier than 5 minuets before departure time unless directed by our staff.
5.1 Pick Ups and Departure Points
Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises do not provide pick ups and guests are to make their own way to us.
We do not do North side (by the car ferry) pick ups.
All customers must make their own way to us at our private facility which we operate from at 2856 Mossman Daintree Road, Lower Daintree, 4873, QLD.
We will not be held liable for tour cost loss because of customer speculation or misjudgement on where we operate from. It is the customers responsibility to have adequate transport to us and check where we depart from before booking tours.
6. Variation of Tours
We reserve the right to cancel or vary any trip and will incur no liability for any such cancellation or alteration. Customers travelling from afar without bookings accept that they are taking the risk of arriving for a tour that may have been cancelled or is booked out.
7. Photos, Images, Videos
At times, throughout our tours, our Tour Guides may take photos which may include you. We may wish to use those photos for promotional purposes. By joining the tour, you acknowledge and agree that we or our agents may take photos of you and you consent to us using images of you taken during the tour for our advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable licence to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to take part please inform your guide at the start of your tour.
9. Child policy/infants
We the operator Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises take safety very seriously; children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian at all times whilst on the property and on the vessels. Infants (0-4 years old) are free of charge provided they do not occupy a seat. Prams are not allowed on the vessels. Parents are not encouraged to bring life jackets for children/infants but can if they wish to, our vessels operate in full compliance with AMSA requirements and are fitted with all the safety equipment required.
10. Wildlife Policy
Wildlife Disclaimer - Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises is conducted in the wild & crocodile sightings CANNOT be guaranteed. However, we have been operating since 1987, and in the well over 40,000 tours conducted, our crocodile success rate has been 98% particularly in the cooler months (June to September). If you do not see a crocodile, we are happy to give you a complimentary return ticket.
11. Complimentary Return Tickets
Our complimentary return tickets are non-transferrable to other people and are valid for your duration of stay within the area.
The complimentary tickets cannot be redeemed for souvenirs or moneys. Complimentary tickets must be rebooked by calling us direct and are recommended to be booked at recommended times. Complimentary return tickets are issued by the tour guides and must be collected at reception. It is at the tour guides discretion to offer complimentary return tickets. On the day of your rebooked complimentary return ticket we may ask for proof of identification along with your complimentary return ticket.
12. February operating times
In February we only operate two tours a day on low tide due to the wet season. Guests travelling from a far are encouraged to call before arriving to check operating times and conditions.
13. Brining Animals to our premises
Only service animals are allowed on the premises. Customers bringing a service animal must inform us first before brining it to the property.
We welcome you aboard our tour boats and invite you to read more about our tours, times and rates. Bookings should be made in advance to avoid disappointment and it's important you read our daily timetables.

Our boat was designed to be comfortable, quiet and to maximize our Daintree River cruises observation. Guests are encouraged to stand on the front deck to get “up close and personal” with wildlife on our Daintree crocodile tours.
